Elisa Carbonell Martín

Elisa Carbonell is CEO of ICEX since January 2024.

She holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and is a Spanish State Chartered Economist since 2007. She has held many relevant positions in the Spanish Public Administration both in Spain and abroad, such as Advisor for International Affairs in the Cabinet of the Spanish Vice President and Minister of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation (2020-2021) and Head Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Spanish Embassy in Colombia (2015-2020). Prior to her position as CEO, she was working as Director General for International Promotion at ICEX.
