Leveraging the full potential of AI in the energy sector: Repsol generative AI competence centre

Repsol is systematically scaling up Generative AI across all areas of the Company. In June 2023, Repsol announced the creation of a Gen AI Competence Center, a pioneering initiative in the European energy sector, aimed at exploring and harnessing the full potential of this disruptive technology to further advance its digitalization and transform the energy sector. This Center is supported by Microsoft, one of the key partners in Repsol’s digital transformation. With this initiative, both companies strengthen and expand their collaboration, which dates back to 2017 when they announced their strategic alliance in the field of information technology and digitalization.
