Irene Barrena

Irene leads the HR team, as well as the strategy, experience, capabilities and all services related to the IBMers in Spain, Portugal, Greece and Israel. In her almost 25 years at IBM, Irene has held different positions both in Business Units and in the HR function, such as Consulting, Sales or Technology. She is convinced the HR function must be a growth enabler for the business and is passionate about everything related to leadership and of course the technology applied to HR to elevate the function so that HR professionals in IBM can focus on tasks with greater value.

In all positions, she has prioritized the development of leadership capabilities, talent acquisition, appropriate performance management and, ultimately, the continuous transformation of the organization.

She has a degree in International Business Administration E4 from ICADE with a double degree from Germany (Fachhochschule Reutlingen)
